Saurabh Jyoti, Director of Media 9 highlighted the deeper meaning of success and leadership in a special address as he emphasised that the evening is not merely about recognition but about celebrating “stories of courage… stories of resilience… stories of women who chose to rise despite challenges.” Reflecting on the event’s theme, “Give to Gain,” he underscored that real achievement comes not just from personal success but from contributing to others and uplifting communities. The speech honoured women who have transformed lives and industries through service, perseverance, and leadership, reinforcing the belief that “when women progress, societies progress.”
Concluding with a powerful reflection on purpose, the speaker reminded the audience that “the most meaningful impact we leave behind is not in what we collect, but in what we give,” encouraging everyone to build a culture where people succeed by supporting and empowering one another.

Keynote address by Sonam Bhuti Gurung on the realities of teaching and living in remote Dolpa
The Keynote Speaker, Sonam Bhuti Gurung, is a 21-year-old teacher at Chharka School in Dolpa alongside pursuing her Bachelor’s in education. She has catalysed access to quality education and learning initiatives in Dolpa.
“The stunning mountains and landscapes are romanticised in social media but the harsh realities of everyday life in Dolpa are rarely talked about,” she emphasised in her speech adding that nearly 80% of people in the region still lack access to proper education. She urged the government and development partners to prioritise development initiatives in the district. She further said, “I want to be the voice of the voiceless. Not just for people of Dolpa but other remote places in the country.”
Her career choice reflects a commitment to inclusive education, particularly in helping children from diverse socio-economic backgrounds access structured learning environments and opportunities for holistic development.
