Antaskaran – Painting Exhibition Opens at The Kalā Salon
On December 19, The Kalā Salon in Thamel officially opened the abstract painting exhibition “Antaskaran” by renowned artist Prof. Dr. Laya Mainali. Curated by Sophia L. Pandé, Founding Director of The Kalā Salon, the exhibition explores the profound interplay of mind, intellect, memory and ego, drawing inspiration from Hindu and Buddhist philosophical concepts.
The exhibition features a captivating collection of layered acrylic paintings on paper, each described as a work of inner meditation. Prof. Mainali’s art invites viewers to engage deeply with the subtle nuances of form, colour, and emotion, offering a contemplative experience that reflects both personal introspection and universal human consciousness.

Held at the 6th floor of Chhaya Center Mall, the event welcomed art enthusiasts, collectors and the general public to experience this immersive showcase. Entry to the exhibition is free, with gallery hours from 11 am to 8 pm, making it accessible to all who wish to explore contemporary abstract art in Kathmandu.

Bihani Hosts Mini Christmas Bazaar and Deaf Inclusion Session
Bihani successfully organised the Mini Christmas Bazaar at T-21 Café, accompanied by an insightful session titled “Breaking Barriers: Creating Space for Deaf Inclusion.” The event brought together entrepreneurs, members and community supporters to celebrate the festive season while promoting inclusivity and awareness for the deaf community.

The bazaar featured a vibrant display of locally crafted products, festive treats, and creative offerings, providing entrepreneurs with a platform to showcase their talent and connect with the community. The accompanying session fostered meaningful discussions on deaf inclusion, highlighting practical approaches to creating accessible and welcoming spaces for all.
