VIDITA AGARWAL
In a world that scrolls endlessly for answers, Vidita Agarwal offers something far rarer: clarity. At just 27, the Bangalore-based product designer has carved a parallel career in Kathmandu as a tarot reader, manifestation coach, and face-reading expert, redefining spirituality for a generation raised on social media trends. Yet her journey into the mystical arts wasn’t planned, it was sparked by heartbreak during the isolation of 2020’s lockdown.
“I still remember the exact words he told me: ‘I have just fallen out of love.’ That breakup hit me hard,” Vidita shares candidly. “I was living with my cousins, and one of them was learning angel card reading. It helped a bit but I was craving real answers. That’s when I turned to tarot.”
Skeptical but curious, she booked her first tarot session with an Instagram reader. “I thought, let’s see what happens. How could a human predict my future, right? But within three months, 80% of what she said had come true. I was hooked.”
What began as a quest for closure soon turned into monthly readings, until Vidita realised she could either keep spending money, or learn the craft herself. “This woman’s readings gave me so much peace, I wanted to do that for others,” she says, her voice softening. “I reached out to her, not for another reading but to make her my guru. We began a 21-day mentorship, and that’s how my spiritual journey began.”
Intuition Meets Psychology
Vidita’s style blends tradition with a deep understanding of human behaviour. “I am not a reader who tells you to wear a crystal or chant a mantra. I believe the power lies in your own hands. My work is rooted in psychology and intuition, it’s about helping you make decisions, not becoming dependent on external tools.”
But being a young woman in a field associated with wisdom and age hasn’t been without challenges. “I often do readings for people over 35. After sessions, they’ll ask, ‘Wait, how old are you?’ There’s this disbelief because I look younger than I am,” she laughs. “But I have built an aura that commands trust. My age or appearance doesn’t define the guidance I offer.”
From Tarot to Manifestation Codes
Her repertoire has since expanded beyond tarot into manifestation codes, a practice she swears by. “Manifestation codes are like vibrational keys,” she explains. “They are especially powerful for specific goals. I have seen people manifest visas, promotions, even relationships. Personally, I used them to heal severe hair loss after two bouts of Covid.”
Unlike generic affirmations, manifestation codes are laser-focused. “But the heart of it is belief. Whether you are manifesting a visa or self-love, if you don’t genuinely believe you deserve it, nothing works,” she says.
The Darker Side of Healing
While Vidita’s Instagram presence exudes calm and positivity, her work often brings her face-to-face with deep trauma. One day in November 2023 stands out vividly: “Every client that day had survived something unimaginable – abuse, adoption trauma, losing parents young. It shook me. I felt so grateful for my own family, for simply being alive. That day changed me as much as it helped them.”
Despite her abilities, Vidita avoids reading her own cards. “I haven’t done a personal tarot reading since I learned the craft. I find my answers in others’ readings. Every client’s energy teaches me something new.”
Morning Mantras and Sacred Pauses
Vidita’s daily rituals keep her grounded. “I am a practicing Buddhist, so I start every morning with chanting. I follow it with affirmations and end my day with meditation or movement. If I don’t start my day right, everything feels off.”
She also knows when to step back. “Energy work is draining. When I feel depleted, I switch off completely. I’ll binge-watch TV, stay in bed, and take a mental health day. Even spirituality, when overdone, needs a break.”
Spirituality Without Trends
In an era where astrology has gone viral, Vidita stays rooted in authenticity. “If I start chasing trends, I am no longer a spiritual guide, I am a business brand. I only share what’s genuinely worked for me. Like last year, I manifested a yacht trip, a houseboat stay, and major travel milestones. I shared those stories not for clout but to prove manifestation is real.”
For those overwhelmed by the sheer number of healers online, Vidita’s advice is simple: “Trust your intuition. If you landed on someone’s page, it’s because the universe brought you there. The connection is never random.”
Women, Intuition & Empowerment
Vidita believes women are inherently intuitive. “We are creators, nurturers. Astrology even says women are more intuitive than men because of our motherly energy. I have seen it with my own mom; she can sense when something’s wrong with me even from miles away. Women just need to trust that voice in their gut. That’s intuition.”
She also sees a generational shift in how women approach spirituality. “In the past, spirituality was often framed through religion. Today, people want mental peace and personal growth. They are exploring spirituality as a tool for self-improvement not just faith. That’s a huge change.”
When asked to pick a tarot card that defines her current energy, Vidita surprises with her choice: the Death card. “It’s the most positive card in the deck,” she smiles. “It symbolises transformation, the end of tough times, and a new chapter. Right now, I am healing from burnout, but I feel like I am rising from it all.”
Though she juggles her spiritual practice with a demanding tech career, she sees her future clearly: “In five years, I hope to have a family but also a thriving spiritual community. This isn’t just a career or a side hustle, it’s my way of creating social impact.”
For a generation that looks for hope in astrology memes and TikTok trends, Vidita offers something deeper: a reminder that power doesn’t lie in crystals or cards but in belief, intuition, and inner strength.
