Social activist and Nepal’s first commercial supermodel, Dolly Gurung, has been crowned the 5th Today’s Woman Mrs Nepal Universe 2026, earning the honour of representing Nepal at the 49th Mrs Universe pageant in Sri Lanka.
The coronation ceremony was held at Moksh, Jhamsikhel, in the presence of distinguished guests from across the country. The crown was presented by Manisha Dangol Shrestha, National Director of Mrs Universe Nepal, and Lalitpur Deputy Mayor Manjali Shrestha. The event was also attended by educationist Indira Yakthumba and Ajay Ratna Sthapit, Chairman of The Hidden Treasure.

Organised under the banner of Today’s Woman Mrs Nepal Universe and presented by London Fashion House, the platform has grown into a movement that celebrates the achievements, resilience, and leadership of married women of Nepali origin. Since its launch in 2019, the initiative has focused on empowering women, strengthening ties within the global Nepali diaspora, preserving cultural identity, and encouraging meaningful contributions to society.
As the newly crowned Mrs Nepal Universe 2026, Dolly will represent Nepal at the 49th Mrs Universe 2026 in Sri Lanka, where she will join more than 120 contestants from around the world. She is expected to showcase Nepal’s culture, heritage, and the strength of Nepali women on the international stage.

Widely recognised for her contributions to fashion and social causes, Dolly’s victory reflects the pageant’s emphasis on purpose alongside grace and confidence. Her journey embodies resilience, leadership, and service, reinforcing the message that beauty is most powerful when combined with compassion, advocacy, and a commitment to creating positive change.
