To mark World Environment Day 2026, Kleanit Upcyclers organised a Plastic Waste Recycling Workshop at Café Zero, bringing together students for a hands-on lesson in sustainability and responsible waste management.
The workshop encouraged children to bring clean, dry plastic waste and witness its transformation first-hand. Using innovative recycling and moulding machines, participants watched discarded plastic being converted into new, functional products, demonstrating that what is often considered rubbish can become a valuable resource.
More than just an educational activity, the event aimed to inspire young people to adopt environmentally conscious habits and understand the importance of reducing, reusing and upcycling. By taking part in the recycling process themselves, students gained practical insight into how small actions can contribute to reducing landfill waste and tackling plastic pollution.
The initiative highlighted Kleanit Upcyclers’ commitment to environmental education and circular economy practices, empowering the next generation to view waste not as a problem, but as an opportunity for innovation and positive change.
