BECAUSE LIFE HAPPENS IN THE INBETWEEN
I begin this column with deep gratitude for the people, moments and experiences that have shaped my life.
I chose the word PAUSE as an invitation: a gentle doorway through which readers can step out of the noise and into the space where clarity lives. It is a deliberate space for writing, a celebration of that small but sacred moment between breaths, between thought and action. It is what life has taught me – that everything moves more beautifully when we offer it space, intention, and trust.
To me, PAUSE isn’t about slowing life down. It’s about creating awareness – so we can live more truthfully, more meaningfully, more kindly, and more fully.
In a world that races, I am learning to listen more deeply. To unravel old patterns of thought. To let my emotions, settle into what truly matters. To let the wisdom of stillness guide me. And to shape my choices from a place of personal power rather than pressure.
I often think about those micro-moments that quietly redirect the course of life as individuals, as a family, a community, even a nation. Moments that hold extraordinary power, yet slip through unnoticed as we chase what the world insists life should be: its version of success, the things we must strive for, the pace we must maintain. When we forget to pause, days blur into routine, and sometimes, it becomes too late to return to what was calling us all along.
When you look at genius, courage, or excellence, look again. Often, it is a single, smallest moment – of thought, of awareness, of action – that separates the extraordinary from the ordinary. PAUSE is that moment. A portal into intuition, alignment, focus, and a truer version of ourselves.
PAUSE is also a reminder that magic rarely arrives through grand transformation. It appears in the quiet in-between, in gratitude, in appreciation, in prayer, in self-belief.
And as we continue together in this space, I hope to share stories and experiences – mine and yours – as we journey through the beautiful, unpredictable, transformative unfolding of life.
