A Decade of Impact: Ek Ek Paila Marks 10 Years of Service
Ek Ek Paila, a volunteer-based non-profit health organization, marked its 10-year milestone on 28th August 2025. Established after the 2015 earthquake to provide emergency medical aid, the group has since organized 34 multi-speciality health camps, benefiting over 38,000 people across Nepal. Services have included eye, dental, gynaecology, maternal health, paediatrics, orthopaedics, ENT, radiology, pathology, and general consultations.
To ensure sustainable services, the organisation runs a community clinic in Thapathali, Kathmandu, and a 15-bed community hospital in Thokarpa, Sindhupalchowk. Even during the Covid 19 crisis, its volunteers continued to deliver essential care to disadvantaged communities.
On 30th August, Ek Ek Paila celebrated its journey at Yalamaya Kendra, Lalitpur, launching a “10-Year Souvenir Book” and screening a documentary capturing its impact. The anniversary honoured volunteers, supporters, and government agencies whose encouragement has been pivotal in expanding and sustaining its life-saving mission.
