Between the Earth and Ether Art Exhibition by Binod Limbu

It remains open through September 10 and explores the thin line between the world we live in and the unseen realms beyond. Inspired by Limbu cultural traditions and indigenous ways of seeing, the artist brings together nature’s physical form with its spiritual meaning.
Binod Limbu’s work creates a dialogue between earth and sky, grounding and transcendence, using colours and forms that reflect identity, memory and our invisible ties to the universe. It is an invitation to pause, reflect and consider where we stand between the real and the unknown.
Jai Jai Shankar’ released in the lap of Mount Kailash

A new devotional song dedicated to Lord Shiva, “Jai Jai Shankar”, sung by Sugam Pokharel, was launched at INI Film Hall, Kathmandu, in the presence of Nepali Congress General Secretary, Gagan Kumar Thapa, and former Karnali Province Chief Minister, Jeevan Bahadur Shahi. The song carries the composition of the late Natikaji, rearranged by Mohit Munal, with additional lyrics by Vijay Adhikari. Its music video was filmed at Lapcha in Humla’s Limi Valley, situated at 5,100 meters, from where Mount Kailash and Lake Mansarovar can be directly viewed. The makers claim this is the first music video ever shot in such a remote high-altitude region, underscoring both cultural and tourism potential.

Featuring actor Badri Prasad Tiwari in a solo performance, the video is directed by Vijay Adhikari, with choreography by Kiran Thapa, cinematography by Hari Humagain, and editing by Bharat Regmi. Producers, DigiSense Nepal, believe it will significantly promote Nepal’s tourism worldwide.
