Maharani ko Jatra
On November 13, Kantipur Theatre held a press show of the play, Maharani Ko Jatra, at Kantipur Film Academy. The play is directed by Dipal Baral and produced by Ramesh Puri and showcases a talented ensemble of actors that include Usha Rajak, Raj Nyaupane, Suhana Acharya, Nikita Acharya, Dipesh Gajurel, Biklap Oli, Jyoti Lama, Sameer Sharma, Bishal Karki, Govin Paudel, Sridhar Gautam, Prayas Khatri, Bimal Yadav, Manoj Tamang, Biran Dahani, Sweta Chaulagain and Kushal Baskota; all students and members of the Kantipur Film Academy and Theatre. The show runs from November 7 to 20 every evening at 5 pm at Kantipur Film Academy, Gairidhara, except on Wednesdays.
BEAM: Project by Impact Hub Kathmandu Empowering Women with Disabilities Through Entrepreneurship

The Building Entrepreneurial Access Models (BEAM) programme run by Impact Hub Kathmandu supports social-impact entrepreneurship and aims to create meaningful pathways for people with disabilities to participate fully in the business sector. Last December, Impact Hub Kathmandu opened applications specifically for women entrepreneurs with disabilities, encouraging them to bring forward their ideas and aspirations for the BEAM programme. After a competitive selection process, the programme officially began in February with the first of several intensive master classes. The sessions were designed to equip the 11 selected entrepreneurs with essential business skills such as digital marketing, financial management, strategic planning and practical tools to strengthen their ventures. Throughout the programme, participants received mentorship, networking opportunities, and hands-on learning experiences.
To celebrate their progress, Impact Hub Kathmandu hosted the BEAM programme’s graduation on November 18, acknowledging the dedication and achievements of the entrepreneurs as they gained the key skills needed to grow and advance their businesses.
The 14th EU Film Festival Nepal

The 14th European Union Film Festival Nepal united celebrated European filmmakers with rising Nepali talent for a vibrant showcase of borderless storytelling. The festival runs from November 14 to 16 at QFX Chhaya Center, Thamel and November 21 to 23 at QFX Trade Mall, Chipledhunga, Pokhara.

This year’s festival has 25 films – ten European feature films, six BAFTA-nominated shorts and nine Nepali short films, touching on themes such as identity, belonging, resistance and personal transformation.
The festival is presented by the EU Delegation to Nepal, together with embassies and cultural organisations representing EU Member States in Kathmandu and Delhi including France, Germany and Finland, along with the British Council and UNESCO.
Latte Art Battle

Academy of Culinary Arts and Hospital Management brought back their signature coffee event: Latte Art Championship Season 2. This event brings together passionate brands, businesses, and coffee lovers from across Nepal. The competition on November 21 celebrated the artistry, creativity and technical skill of talented baristas as they showcased their latte art mastery.
To be able to participate in this championship, applicants submitted a video showcasing their best latte art. This served as the online selection round, and participants were shortlisted based on the creativity, execution and presentation in their video submissions. The championship featured four competitive rounds, each increasing in difficulty and design complexity. Participants advanced through stages that tested precision, creativity, technical mastery and the ability to perform under pressure.
The winning titles were: Winner – Anish Rai, 1st Runner Up – Januka Moktan, 2nd Runner Up – Bandhana Rana Magar and 3rd Runner Up – Binod Thapa Magar. Their love for coffee art, creativity and talent in every pour have truly inspired their peers and the culinary arts community. Walk For a Cause: No Shave November Fashion Runway
A No Shave November Fashion Runway event took place in Chhaya Center, Thamel on Sunday, November 29, aiming to blend style with social awareness. Organised under the leadership of Ant Foundation Nepal and Prashant Tamrakar, a well-known fashion choreographer, the programme sought to raise public awareness about cancer and promote open conversations with individuals battling the illness.

No Shave November, a global movement encouraging men to refrain from shaving throughout the month, has been steadily gaining popularity in Nepal. The initiative symbolises solidarity with cancer patients and encourages people to donate the money they would normally spend on grooming to cancer-related causes.
Overall, the programme served as both a fashion celebration and a meaningful platform to strengthen community engagement in the fight against cancer.
