It takes dollops of confidence and wit besides good looks to win a beauty pageant; Miss Nepal International 2019, Meera Kakshapati seems to have it all. She started her career four years ago with Mega Model and also works as a professional emcee.
Meera aspires to become a life coach and strongly believes in her meditation practice as a formula for happiness. She wants to spread the message of spirituality and mindfulness, and become the medium for people to start their spiritual journey.
Besides, she is a goof who loves to dance and is a complete foodie.

Three words that best describe you…
Goofy, spiritual and persistent
Currently busy with
Trying my best to be as productive as possible. I am currently reading this book called Sapiens, and learning TikTok dance moves.
What do you love about your work
The fact that it doesn’t even feel like work. I love talking and travelling and I get paid for it, so could not have asked for anything better.
What makes a person beautiful
If we talk about inner beauty then it is empathy hands down that makes one beautiful. And if we are talking about outer beauty, then good genes, taking good care of oneself, and of course makeup helps.
What makes you beautiful
My compassion towards other sentient beings, and my skin and hair that I inherited from my beautiful mother.
What makes life beautiful
Acceptance makes life beautiful. No matter how our life situation is, we can choose how we perceive it, the awareness of that choice makes life beautiful.
What tickles your funny bones
All my friends are legit jokers (I am too). Also, I love watching standup comedies.
What makes you smile
I smile all the time for no reason because when I don’t, my resting bitch face makes me look like I am thinking about kidnapping someone’s child.
I love Hasan Minhaj. He is such an amazing storyteller, also very intellectual and such a daredevil.
Best therapy for happiness
Meditation as it helps us realise that one doesn’t need a reason to be happy because happiness is already in our innate nature.
Bvlgari Red. When I put it on, I feel rich.
You are addicted to
I believe weakness would be the right word. Ramen is my weakness.

Intermittent fasting really changed my fitness game. Apple cider vinegar with lemon, and dance with workouts are surprisingly super effective.

Three things you absolutely do to look your best
Pranayam, take proper care of myself, think positive
On a bad hair day
I cannot put my hair in a pony tail or a bun because that makes me look like a potato so I always let it loose regardless.
One tip you learnt that makes you photo ready
Focus on your breath
What do you like doing in your spare time
Dance, read, rap and hangout with my people
Books or movies
Books because then I can be the Director or lead actor as I want.
What advice would you give to your younger self
Stop thinking that you are a loser. And read ‘The Power of Now’ right now.
A quote you live by
If you don’t like, it change it. If you can’t change it, then change your attitude towards it.
Have you ever been told to change something about yourself?
I have been told that I am too goofy to be a Miss Nepal so I became goofier.
