Five makeup artistes create colourful eye makeup for this season.
Coming up to the trend, I am fascinated by the colour, purple while creating this eye look. Purple symbolises mystery, royalty, strength, independence, and creativity. I have used purple and blended with shades of black. Adding beads makes it all the more dramatic and classic.
Just as the lighter shades of purple are associated with light hearted romantic energies, the darker shades represent sadness and frustration.
Full cut with black graphic liner; a quick creative look using the simplest techniques that looks difficult but was done in ten minutes.
I wanted to create a different look than just using colours. When I went to the kitchen, I saw the colourful sprinkles we use on top of a cake as icing. Hence, I ended up using it as part of my makeup. I further added colourful lashes to make the look more vibrant. The makeup was achieved within half an hour.
Makeup is my art and the face is my canvas. As a young girl I never liked makeup and never imagined becoming a professional makeup artist. So here, I have painted something for my younger self in rainbow colours with clouds and a butterfly.
‘Ode to spring’: My look is inspired by spring, the season of new blooms, flowers and new beginnings where nature revives and invigorates.
Carnations symbolise love, enchantment, gratitude, innocence and devotion. And I choose pink carnations because it is a symbol for Mother’s Day. It also signifies gratitude and the concept of never forgetting someone as it states that “You are always on my mind and I deeply admire you.”
