KATHMANDU: The book ‘Sanatani Rama’ by Vivekanand Jha was launched in Kathmandu on Monday.

The book ‘Sanatani Rama’ by Vivekanand Jha was launched in Kathmandu on Monday. Published by Pilgrims Publishing, Varanasi, India. The book is based on the life of Pilgrims Book Store owner Ramanand Tiwari.

The Pilgrims Book House was established by Ramanand (“Rama”) Tiwari in Kathmandu in 1984. In 1999, they opened a branch in Varanasi, and in 2006, a second branch opened in Delhi. The event was also held to coincide with the inauguration of the Ayodhya Ram Temple.

‘Sanatani Rama’ chronicles the life journey of an average Sanatani who, despite starting his life as a fallible being, gradually overcomes his human deficiencies to proudly uphold the flag of Sanatan Dharma. His life journey exemplifies the glory of Sanatan values practised in daily life today. Notably, while Sanatani Rama stands as an ideal Karmayogi for strictly adhering to the paradigmatic values and ethos that Sri Ram had institutionalised in his microcosmic state of its miniaturised version, what specifically stands out is his inimitable compliance with the doctrinaire belief of the Aitareya Upanishad. This belief provides a holistic insight into human life with its lofty proclamation, ‘Charaiveti-Charaiveti-Keep Moving.’

The book’s launch event was chief guests Samhitashastri Arjun Prasad Bastola, Vishwa Shanti Doot, Vishwa Dharma Sansad and Paramanand Jha.
