KATHMANDU: Aashina Deula, Pratima Karki and Lalana Chimariya were declared the winners of ‘Sunsilk Dashain Vibes’ contest who became the face of ‘Sunsilk Gang of Girls’ and received Rs 100,000 each.
Dashain is particularly a busy time for Nepali women. Despite being busy one thing that remains common among all women during Dashain is looking their best throughout the 10-day festival. Between all the celebrations and rituals that happen during Dashain, Sunsilk Nepal saw an opportunity to become a part of its consumers’ life through ‘Sunsilk Dashain Vibes’ contest.
‘Sunsilk Dashain Vibes’ was a digital contest held from September 14 to October 23 where participants showcased their fabulous hairstyles using the #SunsilkDashainVibes. Three winners of the contest were to be the face of ‘Sunsilk Gang of Girls’ along with Princy and Prisma — two brand ambassadors of Sunsilk Nepal. A reward of Rs 100,000 had been offered to each winner.
Collaboration with different influencers was done which helped generate buzz and attract participation. The first round ended on October 23 where the contest received a total of 2,854 entries across all social media platforms. Among all the entries, 150 participants were chosen for the second round as ‘Sunsilk Gang of Girls’ where they made yet another video transforming themselves from their normal look to ‘Sunsilk Dami Look’.
The contest was a huge success and garnered 23.8 million views on #SunsilkDashainVibes and 1.9 million views on #SunsilkGangofGirls on TikTok.
The grand finale event was organised at Marriott Hotel in Kathmandu, on Wednesday, December 8.
