Sophiya Bhujel was crowned Miss Universe Nepal 2022 at the grand finale held on August 25 at Hotel Yak & Yeti in Kathmandu. She will represent Nepal in the international arena of Miss Universe 2022. The 26-year-old holds a degree in business management and bested 19 other finalists to win the national title. She succeeds last year’s winner Sujita Basnet.
Bipana Adhikari was declared first runner-up, while the title holder of WOW Free & Fearless, Ashma KC took the second runner-up position. Sefina Joshi and Monlisha Parajuli were declared third and fourth runner-ups respectively.
This was the third edition of the Miss Universe Nepal pageant under the leadership of former title holder Nagma Shrestha.
