REDEFINING ART AT KATHMANDU TRIENNALE 2077

by wowmagazine

On March 1, the Kathmandu Triennale 2077 opened its door for the audiences to witness multiple aesthetics of 130+ artists from 40+ countries in 5 different venues. Works from across continents are exhibited drawing from different geographies, from Southeast Asia to Latin America to Nepal. Broadening the perspectives and categories of art, artists across the world including Nepal seek to expose a wider conversation about different fields regarding colonisation, cultural narratives, and indigenous knowledge, lineages of art history, spirituality, and forms of healing alongside the decades of political tragedy and shared experiences of the modern world. The Triennale embodied the traces of untold narratives on 5 different locations that include Siddhartha Art gallery, Nepal Art Council, Taragaon Museum, Patan Museum, and Bahadur Shah Bhaithak. The art exhibitions will run till March 31.
