Q. I am woman in my mid-30s. I have dry skin and am quite a fan of DIY face masks. Please suggest how often should I apply a face mask to hydrate my skin?
A. The DIY masks are one of my favourites. As all the products are natural there is no harm in using it alternate days. If you use a mask with any acidic fruits or vegetables, then consider minimising it to two times a week. Ensure that you keep your skin hydrated with a good moisturizer and also use sunscreen without fail. Do increase your intake of water and eat a sensible and well-balanced diet that takes care of your nutritional needs. An occasional facial at the salon for your specific skin type is also recommended. If you suffer from flaking or if your skin is highly sensitive, keep products to a minimum and especially stay away from fragrant cosmetics that can irritate your skin further.A
