Around 400 people came together at Narayan Chaur Park in Kathmandu to take part in the Pink Walk organised by Cotiviti, a healthcare informatics organisation, to raise awareness against breast cancer. The event was organised in collaboration with the Cancer Care Nepal Society, an NGO dedicated to creating awareness, conducting preventive screening, and organising cancer-related health camps in different parts of the country.

Influential personalities like Anuradha Koirala, Manisha Koirala and Sugarika Kc were part of the event. Manisha Koirala, in her message of resilience and courage said, “Cancer is not a death sentence. We lose hope thinking cancer cannot be healed, but it can be healed, and there are so many examples of people who have beaten cancer.”

The walk began in Naxal and concluded in Swayambhu. Participants walked the streets in solidarity with signboards and flyers to raise awareness on breast cancer. Two breast cancer survivors, Samjhana Sharma and Pramila Kc, from Nepal Cancer Care, shared their personal stories.
