April 25 marked the opening of Kalpa: The Timeless Heritage of Himalayan Art — a traditional Thangka art exhibition. The inauguration was held in the presence of Her Eminence Jechun Sangay Khando Rinpoche.
Presented by Heritage Circle, the exhibition displayed a number of authentic Thangka art pieces depicting Buddha, bodhisattvas and diagrams pertaining to Buddhism at Taragaon Museum in Kathmandu. Displaying fine artistic skills, some paintings used mineral pigments and were also plated with 24 Carat Gold.
