The Nepalese Society of Implant Dentistry (NSID) inaugurated the International Implantology Congress on April 7 with an aim to promote and enhance the practice of implant dentistry for better patient care with the theme – Embracing the Future.
Tooth loss has a significant impact on an individual’s quality of life; dental implants have proven to be an excellent option for patients who have lost their teeth as they provide a natural-looking solution that restores functionality, allowing patients to eat, speak, and smile with confidence. In Nepal, the prevalence of oral diseases has increased significantly, with a high percentage of the population affected. This is considered an alarming trend that requires immediate attention from the dental community. The NSID is committed to improving dental health care in Nepal. It has been conducting various programs to bring together dental specialists and general practitioners to enhance the practice of dentistry. The NSID has collaborated with several national and international societies to provide quality evidence-based dental education for the enhancement of care to patients.
The International Implantology Congress is a platform for dental professionals to learn about the latest advancements in implant dentistry and exchange knowledge and ideas. It is an opportunity for dental professionals to stay updated with the latest trends and techniques and improve their clinical skills to provide better patient care.
