BHAKTAPUR: Nepali Congress General Secretary Gagan Kumar Thapa has expressed his concern over the underrepresentation of women in the government.
In his address to a programme in Bhaktapur on Wednesday, NC leader Thapa said women’s 33% participation in the government should be mandated by law as in the parliament. He urged the women’s community to unite and advocate for their rights and seek their rightful positions in all forums, including the government.
On the occasion, the former minister Thapa also expressed his concern over the increasing job crisis in the domestic labour market, adding that the government should take efforts to address the issue seriously.
