Tanahu District Court has sentenced five people to imprisonment and fine in a child marriage case. A bench of District Judge Harish Chandra Dhungana, on Monday sentenced five people to 15 days in jail each in a child marriage case.
Tanahu court judge Min Bahadur Kunwar informed, a fine of Rs. 5/5 thousand was declared to them. According to him, Bhanubhakta Aryal of Martyr Lakhan Village Municipality-3, Santosh Aryal of the same place and Bishnu Prasad Bhattarai of Beas Municipality-11 have been sentenced to imprisonment and fine. However, the names of the other two have not been disclosed yet. Police had registered a case of child marriage on July 15.
