Daayitwa successfully launched the 2021 Public Policy Fellowship on June 11 in a virtual event with Nepal Rastra Bank’s Governor, Maha Prasad Adhikari, as the Chief Guest. Secretaries and Joint-Secretaries from five partner government organisations and the President of FNCCI shared their congratulatory remarks. Around 150 participants, including representatives from government, academia, civil society organisations, media, and private sector participated in the event.
This year, six fellows, selected from a record 107 applicants trained in eight countries, will work in five government organisations – National Planning Commission, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies, Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development, and Ministry of Women, Children and Senior Citizens. Since 2013, Daayitwa has supported 120 young policy professionals from 30 countries to collaborate with 40 government organisations and 24 parliamentarians to conduct research projects.
