On the Finale which was broadcast on BBC on Monday Shah served eighteen vegan dish feasts that wowed judges. Inspired by the Dashain food, Shah presented green banana curry, rice crackers, onion salad, curried jackfruit, tempered grapefruit, sesame and chili pickle, red yam, aubergine, spiced potato and pointed gourd, pilau rice with nuts, and a rice puri, or bread, with smoked tomato and hemp seed chutneys, sun-dried chickpea leaf, mushroom dry curry, and Nepali black lentil dhal.
Shah was also the runner-up in the Master Chef UK: The Professional 2020, along with him were other runner-ups who competed for the title. 2020 finalist Philli Armitage-Mattin and Bart van der Lee, as well as 2017 finalist Jamie, were the competitors.
However, the competition was held to showcase their progress on foods as a chef where the finalists had to master two challenges set by the judges.
