BOOK LAUNCH OF AN ARCHIVE BY ITISHA GIRI

An archive, a poetry anthology by Itisha Giri, was launched on Saturday, April 30 at The Yellow House in Sanepa, Lalitpur. Many people, including the advocate Sarita Tiwari and the editor Anagha Neelakantan were present at the book launch. The event started with a short speech by Sarita Tiwari about the things she found amusing in the book — An archive — followed by Anangha Neelakantan’s view of the book and Itisha Giri, the author herself, reading some of her poems. The author of the book, Itisha Giri is the co-creator of the feminist podcast Boju Bajai whose poems have appeared in literary magazines and anthologies such as The House of Snow, The Aerogram and La.Lit. The book launch was organised by the independent publishing house Safu Publications and Quixote’s Cove.
